Parking

All parking is free.
On-site parking is available for approximately 15 vehicles.
On steaming days, ample parking is available approximately 50 yards (45m) from the site - turn left after the level crossing. Blue badge parking is available on the road opposite the level crossing.
Visiting historic vehicles and motorbikes will usually be found a space on-site as an added attraction for other visitors.
Please do not park on the road marked with double yellow lines as this will obstruct access by Severn Trent's HGV tanker traffic.

Visitor Centre

Our Visitor Centre contains a display of artefacts relating to the site and information about the sewage treatment process which can no longer be seen.
"Metals from Stones" is a geological and metallurgical display to demonstrate how the iron, steel and brass etc. used around the site in steam engines, pumps and structures is made.
A 12 minute video presentation showing the site in operation can be viewed on request.

Information for wheelchair users

The only area of the museum that cannot be accessed by wheelchairs are the upper floors of the engine houses. All areas are level access except for the Stokers Rest which has a ramp. The surfacing of the grounds is mostly level, but uneven in places. A wheelchair accessible toilet is located adjacent to the Stokers Rest.
